Entry into Years 3 to 6

Before offering a place in our Junior School, we assess ability in maths, writing and reading, and ask pupils to complete a non-verbal reasoning test. No advance preparation is required. Afterwards, we provide you with detailed feedback, which is important when you are making such an important decision.

There are still some assessment days available for September 2024 entry. Please contact Junior Admissions for information: junioradmissions@redmaidshigh.co.uk

For your daughter to attend an assessment day, please complete the registration form at the bottom of this page.

Entry into Year 7

We hold a Senior School entrance exam in January for entry for the following September. We are typically a four form entry school and run a waiting list. You can find full details of what is involved in the exam below.

For your daughter to sit an entrance exam, please complete the registration form at the bottom of this page by Friday 13 December 2024. Please note, candidates applying for a sport or music scholarship must be made by November 2024 to be considered.

Assessments take place by appointment. Deadline for registrations is Friday 13 December 2024. Please note, candidates applying for a sport or music scholarship must be made by November 2024 to be considered.

Entry into Year 12

If you are considering a move into Year 12, we arrange a bespoke taster day while you are still in Year 11, allowing you to choose up to five different A Level classes, working alongside current Year 12 students.

We would make on offer based on your predicted GCSE grades, and a reference from your current school.
